Often we come across situations that forces us to think in past, to search or to analyze our action that may have affected our present or will be affecting our future. We often find ourselves ignoring our present because we are busy scrutinizing our history or framing our future! This state of mind which allows us to think can be considered as “Jump Across Time”. This temperament determines the way of our existence. The way we think, the way we conduct ourselves and the way in which we steer through difficulties are all driven by this attitude.
Scientists are working on time travel, to jump some period of time in either direction but so far it seems they have to go a long way to achieve anything like that. But this thing is very much in domain of humanities and we do it on regular basis as described above. Although we are not able to travel across time physically but to make a trip through mind is none less than an achievement. Our past, present and future are related and thus affect each other. Before taking any step in present we think of past, to search for a situation like this. We think for future, will it be good for us or will it make the journey difficult for us. And then we decide to proceed.
But has anyone wondered how it is possible? How come we are able to recollect our past or for instance examine our upcoming future? Many great people and scriptures say that it is the eternal being inside us which is responsible for all these “time jumps”. According to them there is GOD inside us which drives us toward such thoughts. But “Isaac Newton” a world known physicist, doesn’t agree to this. According to him “Sensorium of creature is caged in body but not that of God. God is not the soul of the world; neither is world a body of God; nor does God resemble human mind. The term God is principally a name of power and empire.” He also says that although he has explained the movement of planets through gravitation but it does not explain who set them in motion! It is god who governs all these things and knows how it can be done. This being (god) governs all things not as a soul of the world but as the creator of everything. He is eternal, infinite and absolutely perfect.
The sensorium of god is utterly different from that of mankind so the statement that its god inside every being responsible for its motion don’t fit into our conclusion. The effect (actions performed by us in present) is the result of cause (our actions in past). It is our past that determines our present and our present determines our future. We control our movements. And thus feel that we are the one taking decisions. But what about certain feelings that we can’t control? Intuition for instance, is the apparent ability to acquire knowledge without inference or the use of reason for a particular object or even living being which we notice to be correct in our future. And Déjà vu which makes a person realize that such thing has happened to him in past and is happening again in present. These strange but true insights into past and future are the work of god who through time can see the fate that awaits a creature.
So our little insight is work of our absolute god who can’t be worshiped as an idol or is explained in any scripture but can be termed as the divine power who controls every action performed in this universe and beyond.
